The car is a work in progress.
I rebuilt the transmission and front end, replaced the fuel tank and all fuel components, installed new rear springs and shocks on all four corners. All the brake hydraulic components (including the lines) are new. (NAPA still has many parts for these cars). |
I cleaned and painted the engine and engine bay and re-installed the engine. I cleaned the headers and treated them with a product called Os-Pho purchased from the local Sherwin Williams store. Then I coated the headers with an Eastwood product. So far they have held up well. |
On the left side I used a lower quarter patch panel from Layson's Restorations and then repaired the other holes with sheet metal. Left: Before Right: After |
Also I treated all inside bare metal and lightly rusted areas with Eastwood's Rust Encapsulator. |
