The Dodge operated as our wedding wheels on 6.16.2001 and it was a warm sunny day. Perfect!

1963 Dodge Custom 880 361 engine Facts: The 880 has a 361cid 2bbl engine, 727 torqueflite, and air conditioning (not restored yet). We did the engine during the 1999-2000 winter. The paint job was in 2000 April, restoration for the brakes was April 2001 and we changed the single brake system to dual for safety, (not shown in the picture).

Next jobs will be cleaning, fixing and painting the chassis and maybe dual exhaust with a h-pipe.

My wife and I are also very interested of its history,
but all we know yet is that it came to Finland 1990 from Florida.
We bought it in june 1999. So, can anyone let us know the best
way to find the last or first owners from the states?

Update March - April 2005

The 880 is doing just fine and getting better every year.

1963 Dodge Custom 880 rear window shelp 'hat rack' A new hat rack was made, covered with real leather
and 6" x 9" speakers were installed at a right
angle so they won’t make any reflection from rear window.
A new 8" sub was built too.
The chassis, cabin floor, trunk and dash were
completely blasted and painted, plus there was an
anti-stonechipping coat applied on critical areas.

The windshield and rear window were taken off,
frames were cleaned and painted, and windshields
were sealed again.

The A/C is now restored and works like a freezer.

The H-pipe plan has changed to a x-pipe plan....when ever I get around to it! :-)

The former owners were found and man were they amazed when I called them!

Rear seat belts, which were taken from donor Chrysler Neon 1997
(don’t accept anything else than genuine Mopar parts ha..ha..) so our kids can be safe.

Greetings Jarmo and Pauliina!

Another Mopar in Finland, great! There are relatively quite a few Mopars that way!

And I can't think of a nicer ride than a '62 to '65 Mopar on your wedding day. Congratulations!   smile!
