1963 Dodge Polara 500

Dean writes: My 1963 Dodge Polara 500 has a 440 stroked to 500 inches, 13 1/2:1 compression, Eagle crank and rods, Edelbrock heads, MSD, 1050 Dominator, 2-speed Powerglide, Strange rear-end with 4:88 gears, etc., etc. 1963 Polara 500 front The 500 has a full cage and the frame has been tied. We did a “mini-tub” and moved the rear springs inboard. The Dodge has a 15 gallon fuel cell and battery in the trunk.

The engine produced 724lbs torque and 575 horsepower to the rear wheels on a Dyno.

We run the 500 in the 1/8th mile. Our best time to date is 6.85 @ 105mph.
