1965 Plymouth Belvedere I   Mom's Mopar

Chuck writes:    The 1965 Plymouth Belvedere I recently bought apparently spent a lot of its career in the Georgia area. The Belvedere was stored in a building in Orlando, Florida until it was moved, about 3 to 4 years ago, when the building it was stored in fell in on it, and some other Mopars!

The Plymouth was then sold to a person in South Carolina, and he kept it for about 2 years, then I bought it in early 2004.

The Plymouth has a heavily modified 440 based engine, TorqueFlite and a Dana by Herb McCandless. I also have a few time slips from Brainard Optimist Dragway in Chattanooga, TN.

Some folks say the car was once owned and raced there by a person named Doug Frazer. The time slips are hand written and have no dates, other than "Honest Charlie's Speed Shop" are ads on some of them.

I also found the seat belt dated April 1988.

That's about all I can tell about the 1965 Plymouth.
