1964 Plymouth Fury

Works in Progress

Bob writes: After a couple of failed attempts to find a suitable body for a project, I finally found this Mopar: a 1964 Plymouth Fury hardtop. The car is fairly solid, needing work in the rear quarters.

The Fury was a 318 Poly/727 car when I got it. The engine and tranny have been removed and cleaning of the engine bay has started.

The car will stay its light blue color. It adds a kind of stealth aspect to it.

I have also gotten my engine ready: it is a 440, bored 30 over, with Eddy heads, Max Wedge intake, two 600 cfm Eddys and repro Max Wedge exhaust manifolds.

The tranny will be a 1965 727, so I can still use the pushbuttons.

More pics will follow, as progress is made.

Thanks, Bob!

Another great project!   smile!
