1963 Plymouth Fury

Andy writes:   I'm in love with my car!

She is a 1963 Plymouth Fury 4 door,
kept under a carport all her life.

The original owner had the Plymouth for 38 years. In this time he put 94,000 miles on the Mopar. When he died, a guy who has been messing with cars all his life got the Plymouth to "just fix up the body a bit, paint it and sell the car." He put on dual exhaust and a nice welded pipe job, as well as ET mags.

The chrome going down the sides has been removed, which I like as I think it cleans up the look.

The Fury has the original 318 poly, as well as the original 727 push button transmission, (which I just had rebuilt). The glass is perfect. All original interior, headliner, carpet, factory floor mat in the front, lighter works like new. The back seat and back window shelf are near perfect. The front seat is not.

Inside of the driver's door there are the old gas station service stickers. One sticker is dated the same year that man first walked on the moon.

The car has power steering but not power brakes.

I not only own a '63 Fury, but I drive a '63 Fury. I do concrete work, so I have to drive a 3/4 ton pick up truck all week, and my Fury has to sit covered up until the weekend or day off.

A nice Mopar is great to look at, BUT it's more fun to drive!

Neat one Andy!

And a great way to look forward to the weekend!  smile!
