1965 Dodge Coronet

My '65 Coronet, 2 door post has a fresh .55 over 440, with Ross Pistons, Edelbrock Performer Heads (cut down to 72cc combustion chambers for 12:1 compression), Edelbrock Victor 440 intake, Hooker Super Comp headers, Crane Gold Aluminum Rockers, and a Chrysler solid lift cam (with .654" worth of intake lift!). I also patronized MSD quite a bit, for a pro-billet distributor, the 6AL box, and the 8.5mm super conductor wires.

This intimidating powerplant
was meticulously put together by drag
racing legend Bob Repine of Eldred, PA.

The monstrous torque is thrown through a reworked 727 with the Turbo Action Cheetah manual valve body and a 9" converter that stalls at 5500rpm. All this power is directed to the 9" Hoosiers through an 8 3/4" (742 case of course) with Richmond 4.56 gears.

As of the time of this letter, the car only has 7 passes on it. And when I say passes, I mean 1/8th mile. I haven't had it to the 1320 yet, but in the 1/8th it's seeing the 7.20 range. Obviously there's a lot of ET left in the car, now it's just a matter of tinkering. Everything mechanical on the car is brand new.

1965 Dodge Coronet The Dodge still has a full interior
with a 6 point roll bar, and it is not tubbed
(which is why it only has 9" of rubber
scattering to put the power to the road).

Thank you,
Adam
