1962 Plymouth Savoy

Works in Progress

Mark G. writes: A gem I recently aquired is this 1962 Plymouth Savoy, 2 door, ex cop car.

The Savoy was in service for three years as a highway patrol car.

The car had been sitting in this shed for around 13 years.

I managed to track down a guy that claims he worked at the
dealership when it came in, and helped install the police lighting and paint.

The Plymouth was originaly all black.
The Mopar had heavy vinyl covers installed when new, and the seat upholstry is
still like new, the covers never having been off.

The Savoy is a 318 4bbl, 3 speed, dual exhaust car, and has the heavy spring pack and sway bar.

Gonna be a great project!

Great project for certain, Mark!

Quite a rare find in the barn, with lots of cop car goodies!   smile!
