I’m new to the Mopar scene and I’m going to try and restore this Dodge to a Super Stock clone.

Update December 2004

Check out my '63 Dodge at Byron dragway near
Chicago, Illinois. While I’m from the Detroit area,
I like to travel to Illinois to spend time at the
dragway with my family (cousin) who has a
1965 Coronet S/S car.

We really enjoy running the two cars against each other!

Every year over the winter time we are trying to out do
each other with modifications for the next spring meeting.
The best ET for the 1963 is a 10.92 (with a different driver).
My best ET in the Polara is a 11.12.

Update November 2005

I’ve done a few more improvements to my 1963 Dodge since last year....

Some of the noted improvements are:
  1. Extra wide 2 core aluminum racing radiator (simulates a stock radiator)
  2. Largest aluminum trans cooler I could find (12" x 20")
  3. All braided trans lines and brake lines
  4. Wilwood front disc brakes
  5. New 900CFM racing carburetor
  6. Edlebrock STR 15 single four barrel intake manifold
  7. Inboard rear spring kit
    Planned improvements (Winter 2005)
  1. Cal-trac monoleaf springs
  2. Cal-trac traction bars
  3. Chassis re-enforcements
  4. 29"x12.5" tall slicks rather than 31"x12.5"

I’m really hoping to get her into the 10’s on motor and still use her for hitting the local cruise spots....

Update October 2006

Thomas writes that he has sold the Dodge, with much regret, because of financial strain due to Detroit’s “Big 3” cutting back, thus forcing the sale.

Welcome to Dodge with a nice project, Thomas!

RE: updates: you're obviously succeeded in your restoration and having a lot of fun with the Mopar! smile!

RE: Update: Sorry you had to sell, but you had some fun with the Dodge and perhaps another waits for you in the future.
