1964 Dodge Polara 500

Works in Progress

This 1964 Golden Anniversary Polara 500 was always a beautiful midnight blue car, currently being reworked.

The Dodge has less than 80,000 miles on it and has a history of being bought by eight people. My brother now owns the 500 for the third or fourth time; I owned it two times myself. The title was in my name since 1986 and I just signed it over to my brother this year.

My brother has set the 500 up for drag racing. He fabricated an eight point cage and did the tub work himself, featuring a narrowed rear end.

There is a 426 HEMI getting ready to be put in the Polara. I will send pictures when the HEMI is back together with all new fresh parts.

The paint job is not good enough for my brother so it is going to be redone.

The Polara 500 has never been in an accident, and had very little rust, so restoring it was easy.

The Dodge is a beautiful car and will be great after it is back together.

Good job!

The 500 looks great even apart!   smile!
