1965 Chrysler 300

When I bought it, the Mopar had some bad wiring problems. I have since rewired most of the wiper system and signal lights.

Fast forward to 2003, where I found out the most interesting part of the car's history. The Chrysler was purchased in 1966 (the car was a year old then) by a couple that lived off of 64th and Athanum Ave. in Yakima, WA from Chappell Auto Sales in Union Gap, WA. The couple drove the car on Friday's and Sunday's only. The 300 did however make two trips to California by her son, he said the only time the radio was on and the heater was used was when he drove the car. The woman's husband passed away in 1983 and her son sold the car to a Yakima business owner that same year. The car had 33,000 original miles at the time of sale. The car was flawless, NOTHING was wrong with it what so ever. The woman's son told me you could have parked the car in a museum it was so flawless. The car sold for $2500.00. The man who bought it got his license and learned to drive specifically for this car. And drove it back and forth to his business. He sold the car to a woman who treated it pretty bad.

The Chrysler was put in this condition you see now by this woman and was reportedly seen at a yard sale by the womans' son (original owner) for $400.00, it never sold. She sold it to a guy who collected older vehicles.

In 1997 the 4th owner drove it little and traded to an older guy, who I eventually bought it from. At the time of purchase I had no idea the miles were original. The miles on the car as of the time this letter was written is a little over 47,000, the engine has not been touched since I have owned it. The paint on the car is original; I am in no hurry to re-paint it.

I have enjoyed owning and driving this Chrysler the most.

I drive this car daily, believe it or not with the original miles.
I think a car should be driven and enjoyed.

You found a treasure there Michael!

Driving the 300 daily has to bring a smile to you on your commute!  smile!
