1965 Plymouth Belvedere II

Works in Progress

I found a 1965 Belvedere II that was located just miles from my house!
The Belvedere was a one owner 273 car that is almost rust free
with a 273 and a/c with only 59,xxx miles!

The '65 was put out to pasture due to a dented driver's door and the owner stated that the "only thing good is the engine...the old four doors aren't worth a thing".

"You're right!" I said, and "here's your money".

The owner's grandson was going to use the Plymouth and had just put on new dual exhaust, new rear air shocks and front shocks and was bringing it home this past winter. He pulled into the drive a little to fast and the car slid into a tree, causing the old girl to move from the garage to the wood line.

(its not actually that bad, but makes her look ugly)
and tuning her up.

The Plymouth still has all of her original wires, plugs and belts!

P.s., I also just picked up a low mileage 1965 Plymouth Satellite that will give up its parts to others, due to the salty streets of Chicago. It is a 361 Commando car with only 65,xxx miles, pristine bucket/console interior and a 3.23 SureGrip. The car was put in storage about 10 years ago and has literally been disintegrating away silently.

Update November 2004

I have sanded the roof to get rid of the surface rust and painted it white.

The Plymouth drives like a dream and draws lots of looks.

A 4 barrel intake and a NOS set of Commando valve covers get bolted on the 273 soon.
